Pathways to Wellness:
Experience a new sense of aliveness! Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. Nia brings the body, mind, emotions and spirit to optimum health through inspiring music, movement and creative self-expression. A journey of discovery, Nia is designed for any body and invites you to honor the wisdom of your body in moving. This video shares a little about the Nia experience.
Good food is the groundwork for good health and a diet rich in whole foods can protect our bodies from chronic, degenerative and inflammatory conditions. It is never too late to guard your health by eating a healthy, balanced diet.
Healthy eating should be a pleasurable and tasty experience. Above all we want to help you become stronger, healthier and happier.
Sound healing provides an opportunity to calm the mind and experience a deep state of relaxation and inner peace. The soothing effect of vibrations resonating throughout the body helps to reduce tension and stress and are nourishing and revitalizing to body, mind and spirit.
While sitting or resting comfortably on a mat, the sound and vibrations from singing bowls, gongs, chimes and drums take you on a meditative journey to greater harmony and balance within.
Lulu is a music, dance and movement lover. Born and raised in Mexico, she has been dedicated to improving the health and well being of people through fitness for over 20 years. Lulu is a Nia Green Belt teacher, personal fitness trainer, presenter and instructor who enjoys working in the prevention and management of chronic diseases; in particular osteoporosis, arthritis, diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Come and find health through movement with Lulu.
Marilyn McNeill is a registered holistic nutritionist and a master level reiki practitioner. She has come to understand that to improve health and make lasting changes takes a holistic approach. Nourishing the body with a healthy, balanced diet is a great start but the mind and spirit need to be fed well too. This has led Marilyn to the practice of Reiki and other energy healing modalities. She is honored to be collaborating with Lulu and Kathy in journeys of joy and healing.
Kathy is a gong and sound practitioner whose musical roots began with the piano. She now incorporates her love of sound to include Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, drums, shruti and chimes in nourishing sound journey offerings. Kathy is passionate about introducing others to the profound peace and relaxation available through the healing power of sound. She greatly appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives while using these ancient practices that are so close to her heart.

Stepping into summer with team Kaluma at a special solstice gathering of Nia and sound. We’ll dance and then bask in the waves of sound during this afternoon devoted to deep nourishment and joy. Please bring a mat to rest on for the sound meditation.
