Kathy Cameron is a gong and sound practitioner whose musical roots began with the piano. She now incorporates her love of sound and diverse musical background to include Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, drums, shruti and chimes in gong meditations, sound journeys, corporate events and special celebrations.
From the moment Kathy first discovered singing bowls, she was captivated and her exploration into the healing power of sound began. Hearing a gong further inspired her on her sound healing journey. “The vibrations resonated deeply in every fiber of my being, taking my soul places I’d never imagined.” She is truly grateful for the transformative gift that music and sound have been in her life.
As a lifelong learner, Kathy is dedicated to enriching her ability to share the healing potential of sound with her community. She has studied with gongmaster Don Conreaux, Tom Soltron and Abby delSol, Suren Shrestha and sound therapist Gary Diggins as well as a number of other teachers who have generously shared their sound healing wisdom and insight. Healing Touch training in the mid-90’s with the founder of Healing Touch, Janet Mentgen, continues to inform her personal practice and her work.
Kathy is passionate about introducing others to the profound sense of peace and relaxation available through the sound and vibrations of gongs, singing bowls, drums and other world instruments. She continues to explore the world of sound, striving to offer the most nourishing experience possible.
Kathy greatly appreciates the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives while using these ancient practices that are so close to her heart.
